You greet them warmly and professionally, you answer their questions, resolve, their issues, and thank them for their business. So "kudos" to you, that's what customer service is all about.
But did you know that in the midst of taking such good care of your customers you may have forgotten to take care of the most important person of all? "Who is this person?" you ask, well that person is YOU!
You are just as if not more important than the customers you serve so it's absolutely vital that you don’t forget to take good care of yourself as well.
What sense does it make to work hard and do a good job if you end up overworked, unhealthy, and stressed out.
So if you not only want to have a long and successful career paired with a happier and healthier life, then take a look at these 10 tips you can practice to help you stay fit and healthy even at work.
Tip #1 - Get outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine as much as possible.
Tip #2 - Remember to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
Tip #3 - Sit up straight and ensure your workstation is ergonomically fit for your body type.
Tip #4 - Avoid binging on junk food by keeping healthy snacks like fruit, raisins, and nuts at your desk.
Tip #5 - Be sure to stretch periodically throughout the day.
Tip #6 - Avoid eye fatigue by taking frequent eye breaks throughout the day where you take a few seconds to look away from your computer, and rest your eyes.
Tip #7 - Maintain a comfortable body temperature by layering your clothes so that if your work environment is too cold, you can stay warm, and if its too hot you can cool off.
Tip #8 - Defend yourself against all of the germs and bacteria in your office by making it a point to thoroughly wash your hands with soap and hot water at least 3 to 4 times a day.
Tip #9 - Take full advantage of all of the many health and wellness benefits that your employer has to offer.
Tip #10 - Remember if you're sick, STAY HOME!
